Rapper J. Cole is being honored in his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. The Roc Nation star, who broke through big in 2011, is being given a huge party and his own weekend–dubbed “Dreamville Weekend.”

Thursday, March 1st will kick off the first annual “Dreamville Weekend” in Fayetteville. The event honors J. Cole and encourages the city’s young people to follow a positive path. Cole will visit his alma mater Terry Sanford High School, and there will also be a celebrity dinner and the official announcement of J. Cole Day in Fayetteville.

A Cole performance will wrap things up March 3rd. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Cumberland Community Foundation.

Looks like the 2012 Special Class to me. Some of these guys are definitely honorable, but wasn’t Roscoe Dash left back a grade or two? I can see why A$AP Rocky turned down this opportunity [of embarrassment].
