Back in the streets with a new label situation, Yo Gotti recently dropped the highly anticipated street album Cocaine Muzik 2. The project which features all original music, hosting by DJ Drama, and classic Yo Gotti sounds, is the prelude to his upcoming album Live from the Kitchen.

Has Cocaine Muzik 2 lived up to your expectations so far?
Yeah, as far as the music. My expectations were for it to hit the streets and be the hottest thing being played in the street. I think it reached its potential already since it was released.

You put this street album out with a different label situation than your last project. Explain what’s going on with that.
You know TVT went bankrupt, and The Orchard gave me an option to buy myself out, and with that, we negotiated the release of my next mixtape which was Cocaine Muzik 2. So after that project they let me go free. Right now Orchard is a straight digital company, so I think this is one of the first projects they physically put out. They gave me an opportunity to get out of my second-hand situation and everythang’s gravy. Read more…
