OJ da Juiceman Article by Ms Rivercity (Circa 2009)

Article I composed for Mandatory Business Magazine. This was the 2nd or 3rd time I’d interviewed OJ.
When people ask who is the hottest rapper in Atlanta right now, OJ da Juiceman is at the top of the list. A long time friend of Gucci Mane and affiliate of his label So Icey Ent., OJ came up through the ranks as his own artist with his own imprint 32 Entertainment.
In 2001, he started the rap label representing his hometown stomping grounds. “My label originated from the local Marta bus area in my neighborhood – 32 Bouldercrest,” he explains. “And by me saying ‘Bouldercrest Shawty,’ ‘Texaco Shawty,’ ‘Bus Stop Shawty,’ the bus stop where I sat and watched the Marta bus go passed was 32 Bouldercrest. I named my record company 32 Entertainment and kept pushing it from there.”
These days, Juice has traded in his packs for raps and the move has taken him to parts of the country he never thought he’d see. “I’m all over right now,” he says. “I been booked up since last June. My weekends have been full. I’m really all over the regions – the South, Midwest, up top, down bottom. My management company got me booked everywhere.” Read more…
Yo Gotti In-Studio Interview w/ Ms Rivercity (Circa 2009) [Video]
Circa 2009 @ Music House Studios ATL. Yo Gotti talks about Cocaine Muzik 2.
Last week I was a a special invited guest to a session with Yo Gotti at Music House Studios. Believe me when I tell you Yo Gotti is built for this music biz. He pretty much lives on a tour bus, and despite catching a horrible cold and having to record and perform on the same day, Gotti gave us a good amount of time to talk about Cocaine Muzik 2.
